Clearing Cache and Cookies

Starting a new session alleviates most issues you may experience with logging in or accessing content. To start a new session, you need to clear your browser cache and cookies, close all browser tabs and windows, then open a new browser instance and try again. Also, you may want to try an alternate web browser in order to rule out any browser-specific issue.

Google Chrome

  1. In the browser bar, enter: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
  2. Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Clear browsing history, Cookies and Other Site Data, Download history, Cache and Data)
  3. You can choose the period of time for which you want to clear data by clicking the Time Range dropdown. To clear your entire cache and cookies, select “All Time”
  4. Select all boxes to clear all data
  5. Click, the ‘Clear Data’ blue button

Firefox

  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
  2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  3. Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements to clear
  4. Click Clear Now

Internet Explorer 8 and up

  1. From the Safety menu in the upper right, click Delete Browsing History
  2. Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History
  3. Click Delete

Internet Explorer 7

  1. From the Tools menu in the upper right, select Internet Options
  2. To delete your cache, click Delete files
  3. To delete your cookies, click Delete cookies
  4. To delete your history, click Delete history
  5. Click Close, and then click OK to exit

Safari

  1. From the 3 lined button located in the upper right corner, click to open menu options
  2. Click History
  3. Click Clear Recent History
  4. Click Details dropdown
  5. Select Cache and Cookies
  6. Click Clear Now

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the 3 lined button in the top right corner
  2. Click on the clock shaped history button
  3. Here you will be able to view your browsing history
  4. Click Clear History and then Show More
  5. Select Cache and Cookies
  6. Click Clear

Android

  1. Open Settings on your phone
  2. Tap the Storage heading to open its setting page
    *If your phone runs Android Oreo or earlier, open the App Manager settings page
  3. Tap the Other Apps heading
  4. Find the NBA App in the listing
  5. Click Clear Cache and Clear Data

Amazon Fire TV

  1. Using the navigation keys of your Fire TV remote, scroll down and select "Settings".
  2. Browse through the menu and select "Applications".
  3. Select "Manage All Applications" from the application tray.
  4. Select the NBA app from the list of installed apps.
  5. Select "Clear Cache" or "Clear Data". Select "OK" to confirm selection.

Amazon Fire Tablet

  1. Navigate to "Settings" by swiping down from the top of the screen to show the Quick Action menu.
  2. Tap "Applications"
  3. Select "Manage All Applications”
  4. Select the NBA app.
  5. Tap the "Clear Cache" button to clear the cache app memory.
