NBA League Pass Student Discount

The NBA offers a discount on NBA League Pass, exclusive for college/university students. 

What is the discount?

Eligible students can sign up for 40% off NBA League Pass Monthly subscription for 12 months. Students can re-verify their discount eligibility at the end of the 12-month term. 

The student discount is only applicable for a League Pass Monthly subscription and cannot be utilized or upgraded on any other subscription type. 

How can I sign up and verify my student status?

If you are based in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, or US Minor Outlying Islands you can sign up for 40% off NBA League Pass Monthly by verifying your student status here.

If you are based outside of the US and US territories, you can sign up for 40% off NBA League Pass Monthly by verifying your student status here.

To be verified, you will need to input your country (only eligible countries are included in the drop-down), university / college name, first name, last name, date of birth, and email address (a student email address is preferred). Once verified, you will receive a unique promotional code that can only be redeemed once for 12 months of discounted League Pass Monthly access. 

If additional information is needed to verify your eligibility, you will be asked to upload your school-issued documentation (e.g., school ID card with expiration date, class schedule, tuition receipt, etc.). Your school-issued documentation must include a valid date. Please ensure both your school’s name and full name are consistent across the uploaded document and verification form. Feel free to redact or black-out any sensitive information on your document(s) that aren’t necessary for verification (e.g., amount in the tuition receipt). 

How can I maintain my student discount after the 12-month term? 

If you are still eligible for a League Pass student discount, follow the same process described above to receive another promotional code.  This promotional code can be redeemed for an additional 12 months of discounted League Pass Monthly access. 

To redeem your code, you must be logged in with your NBA ID. Go to https://www.nba.com/account/subscription, click Manage Plan and enter your promotional code in the redemption code field.
